Day 1 Arrive in Phnom Penh

You’ll be picked up at the airport and taken to check in at your hotel in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant before retiring back to your hotel.

Day 2 Phnom Penh tour

Your local guide will lead you on a tour of Phnom Penh’s royal palaces and pagodas including Wat Phnom temple and the Silver Pagoda with its gold and diamond encrusted Buddha. In the afternoon, you’ll be introduced to the dark history of the Khmer Rouge, visiting a former prison-turned-museum and the infamous Killing Fields. Later take a tuk-tuk to the Foreign Correspondents Club for sunset cocktails on a breezy waterfront terrace. Stay overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 3 Drive to Battambang via rural villages

Discover rural Cambodian life on a long drive to the town of Battambang stopping at a silversmith village, pottery workshops and a fish market along the way. After checking in to a comfortable hotel in Battambang you’ll be taken on a guided walking tour of the town’s atmospheric colonial streets. Stay overnight in Battambang.

Day 4 Explore Battambang

Spend the day exploring Battambang’s highlights with a local guide. Visit temples, river-side pagodas and markets. Stop at the Provincial Museum, take a short trip on the unique bamboo train, explore the hilltop towers of Phnom Banon and take in the sublime sunset view. Head back to your hotel in Battambang.

Day 5 Speedboat tour to Siem Reap

Say bon voyage to Battambang and board a speed boat for a voyage along the Sangkar river to Siem Reap. Pass through a natural biosphere reserve, stop at pagodas and floating villages, and see the stilted settlements of Tonle Sap Lake. Once in Siem Reap, check in at your hotel for a four-night stay and take a tuk-tuk to a workshop area where local artisans make and sell traditional arts and crafts.

Day 6 Angkor temples tour

Watch the sunrise at the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat temple before tucking into breakfast and taking a full sightseeing tour of the ancient Angkor temples with a local guide. Have dinner at a local restaurant and watch a traditional Cambodian Apsara dance before heading back to your Siem Reap hotel.

Day 7 Temples and Siem Reap street food tour

Head out of town to the intricately-carved temple of Banteay Srei, stopping at a local village and an age-old Hindu temple. The highlight of the day will be a trip to see the much-photographed Ta Prohm temple with its ancient stone structure enveloped in jungle roots. In the evening, hop on a Vespa scooter for a tour of Siem Reap’s sizzling street food stalls. Stay the night in Siem Reap.

Day 8 Village cooking class and sunset temple cruise

Get immersed in local life with a visit to a rural village running a special initiative that directly benefits the community. Begin with a walking tour or an ox-and-cart ride before joining a host family for a Cambodian cooking class. In the afternoon explore the ancient Khmer city of Angkor Thom and sip cocktails on a sunset cruise around the complex’s vast moat. Return to your Siem Reap hotel.

Day 9 Fly to Sihanoukville

Be transported to Siem Reap airport for your flight to Sihanoukville. Upon arrival you’ll be met by a driver and taken to a beach-side hotel for a five-night stay.

Day 10-13 Sihanoukville beach

Spend the next four days relaxing and unwinding on Sihanoukville’s scenic tropical shores on the Gulf of Thailand. Take snorkelling and diving trips to explore the beautiful offshore coral reefs and tuck into local specialty seafood.

Day 14 Homeward bound

You’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to Sihanoukville airport for a connection to Siem Reap or Phnom Penh and your flight home.
