Day 1 Arrival in Cusco
You’ll be greeted at the airport and accompanied to your hotel. On the way, your guide will tell you about Cusco’s main attractions.
Day 2 Cusco
Begin the day at the Coricancha (Temple of the Sun), an Incan temple built by the emperor Pachacutec.
Move on to see the cathedral on the Plaza de Armas then the imposing remains of the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Continue to the archaeological site of Quengo, believed to be the site of ancient agricultural rituals.
Finally, explore PukaPucara, a complex of alleged military use, comprising plazas, baths, aqueducts, walls and towers, before returning to your hotel.
Day 3 Machu Picchu
Today you’re day-tripping to the magnificent Machu Picchu. Board a train to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll bus to the UNESCO-rated citadel. Tour this fascinating site with your guide or join extra optional tours to the Sun Gate, the Inca Bridge and other points of interest. Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch before returning to your hotel by train.
Day 4 Farewell Cusco
Your short but sweet tour of mystical Cusco is over. You can head to the airport for your connecting flight or continue your discovery of Peru.
